So as a part of Blr Hubba,I went on a heritage walk with gully tours with Kartik's shirt and Appu in hand as usual with a camera.I reached a bit late(on time precisely) unlike older times where I would be super early. Its hard to gather all the "Challe Pille' with me and go.I was definitely looking like an activist / journalist.
lastly,my son made friends with a girl who was elder to him and he made her cry with his charm and energy. This was his first close encounter with a baby,a girl baby that too🫡.He is actually 'Aprameya' is what I realised.
so we started at National College metro station, Basavanagudi from V V puram side on KR road.So Preetika our guide was sweet and she explained about National College. Then we headed to watch some vintage houses ,one was called "Shooting house" which I had seen many times.
she explained about Monkey Towers which were a part of 1900s Bangalore architecture which would make monkeys jump a bit hard with its style.
Here in the above picture you can see that inverted 'V' kind of thingy,it's called monkey tower. This house was belonging to a doctor and the house opposite was even too vintage and the owner was shocked to see so many people staring at his house.
Then we witnessed Subbamma Stores/Srinivasa Condiment Shop. There was a lady called Subbamma who would seel Masala Powders and sweets like Laddu. She was too famous in Basavanagudi area backthen and her grandsons run the store now.The store is always filled with people and such a nice thing it was.I shopped upto 350 rs I guess.
I am a frequent visitor of Gandhi Bazar and never tried to explore the other roads which I had seen .I was shocked to see 'Lankesh Patrike ' head office there.BMS college was nearby.
Then we came back to Gandhi Bazar and I made Kavya to taste Sabbakki Idli at 'Namma SLN'.I startee drooling over Bajji there and it took sometime for the Bajji anna to prepare.
Aprameya went ahead with Kavya, Dhanya to Bugle Rock.
I discovered one more road called 'Puttanna Road' and reached Bugle Rock.We then concluded the walk post visiting Bull temple. We went to Brahmins Bakery and I told them that how much I love that place.
Also I discovered some more cute places and Nice people.I met a guy from Thailand working in Nagavara IKEA.Then I remember one more curly haired girl, then Meenakshi and many more.
lastly,my son made friends with a girl who was elder to him and he made her cry with his charm and energy. This was his first close encounter with a baby,a girl baby that too🫡.He is actually 'Aprameya' is what I realised.
