I remember,my Aayi(paternal Grandmother) always taunting my mom for not doing gardening.
I am like, dude,Is it not her wish?
She does all the chores and still not enough?
Again, gardening, becoming a mom and a plant Mom are truly truly individual choice.
I guess I got it from my Aayi to become both at the same time.
My husband also supported both and helped voluntarily to make me a mom and a plant Mom.
(IYKYK).He guides me so well that he reminds me of everything a plant Mom and a mom requires.
Jokes apart,When I was in my previous rented flat,I got the inspo by looking at our neighbour Madhuri who was really sweet.
I got so many and our owner,Thimmu had a problem and was sad.
So I had to shift whatever plants survived to our friends place and it's thriving well 🥺.
Now we are in a new flat and guess what, owner is so sweet that he never comes to check on us.
But I also, being a toddler mom, kept all the things on a table.
we got many indoor plants from a near by nursery where the owner tried to be little nosy as we are are frequent there.
I got succulents which are really really hard for me.
How much is too much for them🥺.
This morning I went again to complain about a marigold plant which was looking like it would die anytime despite of following his instructions.
Now he says "Ma'am That is seasonal".
I am like ,wtf, you could have saved my money brother.
I asked him for a few plants such as ZZ plant which are hard to kill.
I can't see plants die in my home.
I am so punctual and common, tell me the secret.
While I vote for indoor plants,my husband votes for outdoor.
He even inspects them every morning and as usual me being the plant care taker.
We have so many and see if the nursery guy really scammed us.
But I will tell you, going to a nursery on a weekend morning is a therapy.
I wonder how do you even make sure all the plants survived???
After spending 1700 rs for 4 plants, pots, plates I got them on a Riksha to home and my Saturday first half went well.
you know, the day you get plants home is really joyfull even after knowing 60% of them don't really live long?
At home, flower like Nityapushpa,Dasavala,Sampige,Gonde, sevantige, moti mallige would grow so so well even in that humid climate of Kumta.
I mean my Aayi would just water then and trim it like a weed plant(actual plant weed fyi).
You know,I have come to an agreement with myself that if it has to live it will.
Otherwise blame the nursery guy and move on.
